MIBG stands for Metaiodobenzylguanidine.

MIBG is a drug that is specifically taken up by neuroblastoma cells.  It can be attached to radioactive forms of iodine.  

Low dose MIBG can be used to scan for sites of neuroblastoma throughout the body.

High dose MIBG has the potential to treat sites of neuroblastoma throughout the body.

MIBG is a clear liquid that looks like water and is given as an IV treatment.
